LAWNWISE • WEEKLY PLAN

What should I do this week?

Weather-informed guidance for your saved lawn profile. Check conditions before acting.

Weather not loaded
Using saved ZIP and grass type
Connect to weather to see rainfall and temperature. This preview never assumes live weather is available.

💧 Watering

Weather needed for rainfall context. Check soil moisture before watering.

✂️ Mowing

Tall fescue: generally maintain 3–3.5 inches in spring and fall, 3.5–4 inches during summer.

🌱 Fertilizing

Review recent nitrogen applications, soil test, and seasonal timing before applying fertilizer.

🗓️ Seasonal priorities

Your regional calendar has more detailed guidance.

Important: Weather data is advisory, not a soil-moisture measurement. Recent rain, irrigation, drainage, and sprinkler output can change the correct action. Fertilizer and pesticide label directions take precedence.
Live weather source: Open-Meteo (when connected). ZIP lookup: Zippopotam.us. Network connection required.

My Lawn

ZIP-based region suggestions are approximate. Confirm the growing region; recommendations are source-linked and not based on live weather. Only supported cool-season grass / region combinations show validated seasonal timing.
v1.4 Research Database Status

Regional source-backed seeding windows: Missouri, northern/central/southern Illinois, northern/southern Indiana, Kansas (cool-season turf only). Spreader launch shortlist: four Scotts models; manufacturer-published exact-model or family-level settings are distinguished. Other spreaders deferred until documentation improves. No live ZIP, weather or product API. This is a research prototype, not an application-label authority.

Annual Care Calendar

💧 WaterWise

Preferred time
5:00–8:00 AM
Generally 4–9 AM, subject to restrictions.

Clay soil: use shorter cycle-and-soak watering if runoff occurs. Check soil moisture before watering.

Example calculations only. Rainfall is manually entered, not live; stored soil moisture, forecasts and recent irrigation aren't considered. Newly seeded lawns need different guidance.

🧮 N-P-K Fertilizer Calculator

Checking lawn profile and application history…

U.S. fertilizer labels use elemental N, phosphate P₂O₅, and potash K₂O. Values are not elemental P and K.

Planning estimates are not instructions to fertilize today. Confirm the product label, timing, soil-test recommendations and past applications. No automatic fertilizer recommendation is made when essential profile data is missing.

What does LawnWise do with my soil test?

We use the laboratory’s own nutrient interpretations to adjust your fertilizer choices, flag nutrients you may not need, and explain which parts of your plan change. You can enter just the lab's Low / Adequate / High results in Simple Mode; Precision Mode keeps the underlying values, units and methods.

pH: highlights possible lime review, never guesses lime quantity. P and K: inform fertilizer selection. Organic matter and CEC: add context about soil function, not a standalone fertilizer prescription. Lab nitrogen: optional context; your application tracker is the main nitrogen history.

Soil test interpretation is specific to the lab, extraction method and local calibration. If you have only raw P/K values, enter the lab's interpretation or recommendation before expecting nutrient advice.

🧪 My Soil Health

Collect representative soil cores from each uniform lawn area, mix, and follow your lab's instructions. Keep different lawn zones separate.

Optional: expand your full laboratory report. Values already entered in Basic Soil Results are reused.

🧾 Optional — Advanced Soil Analysis

Optional. Enter pH, phosphorus and potassium once in Basic Soil Results; advanced nutrients are only needed if your laboratory reports them. Missing organic matter is fine.

Enter only what your lab actually reports. Organic matter and CEC are optional. The lab's own rating is more meaningful than a raw ppm number without its method.

Enter and save results to see how they affect your plan.

Precision notes: Lab ranges and ratings are specific to the laboratory. Nitrate, ammonium, and total N are snapshots and do not replace an annual N application history. Low micronutrient values do not automatically justify applying micronutrients. Soil pH alone cannot determine a lime rate.

Basic Soil Results — Start Here

Enter your laboratory’s phosphorus and potassium interpretations and any lime recommendation. LawnWise uses these to assess fertilizer suitability. The optional full report shares these values; you do not need to re-enter them.

Save your test to see what changes.

What changed in my plan?

No laboratory-based changes yet.

Record laboratory results

P and K results require units, extraction method and regional calibration. Soil nitrogen is optional and changes rapidly; it does not replace fertilizer application history. LawnWise will not invent a nutrient prescription from raw numbers.

🌿 Annual Nitrogen Tracker

Record actual fertilizer applications to monitor how much nitrogen your lawn has received this year. This is not a directive to apply any remaining nitrogen.

The 3.0 lb N / 1,000 sq ft annual value is an editable planning example, not a universal prescription. Rates and timing must account for region, turf condition, nitrogen sources and prior applications. Partial-lawn treatments are normalized to your full lawn for reporting.

🌿 Fertilizer & Spreader Assistant

Choose your fertilizer and spreader. A dial number appears only when the source supports the selected pairing; the manufacturer label remains authoritative.

External reference (independent website): Lawn Synergy spreader settings ↗. LawnWise is not affiliated with or endorsed by Lawn Synergy. Their chart is not included in our database.

Database coverage: 11 product entries, 9 spreader models, 7 manufacturer-sourced product/model dial settings. Partial coverage only. Verified research: October 2026.

Curated manufacturer-source catalog, not comprehensive. Missing settings and application rates are clearly identified; always check the current product label.

Advanced: How spreader settings are determined

Settings depend on exact model, fertilizer formulation, application rate and sometimes walking speed. When a verified product/model/rate pairing is absent, LawnWise does not substitute a different spreader's dial setting. An optional calibration workflow can be offered here in a future release.

🧰 My Lawn Products

Save products from LESCO, Scotts, Vigoro, Ferti-Lome, or any other brand. LawnWise does not favor manufacturers.

Fertilizer inventory only. Pesticide recommendations require exact current labels and restrictions.
